Cookie Policy
Essential browser storage and analytics cookies used by First Day Sign
What we use
First Day Sign does not use advertising cookies in the current version. We use limited first-party Google Analytics measurement cookies in addition to essential browser storage.
The site may use a small amount of essential browser storage for:
- remembering the language you selected;
- security and request handling required by the hosting platform; and
- saving a sign draft in local storage only when you turn on Remember on this device.
The optional draft can contain the information you entered into the sign. It stays in your browser and is not a cookie sent with web requests. Turn the option off or choose Clear my data in the editor to remove it.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand aggregate visits and how people use the site. Its first-party cookies include _ga, which distinguishes visitors, and _ga_*, which retains session state. Analytics may receive page, referral, approximate location, browser, device, and interaction information, but we do not send the contents of your sign or exported files.
For more information, see Google's explanation of Analytics data collection and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your controls
You can clear or block cookies and site storage from your browser settings. Removing language storage may reset the site to English, and removing local storage deletes any remembered sign draft. Blocking analytics cookies does not prevent you from creating or exporting a sign. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy if our use of analytics, advertising, accounts, or browser storage changes. Questions can be sent to support@firstdaysign.com.
